As well as the field trips and guided art sessions, visitors to the Centre can enjoy the gallery of oil paintings and prints by Rhian Field, her reference library and working art studio.
The idea for the Centre was pioneered by science-trained local artist Doctor Rhian Field, and inspired by her research at Aberystwyth University. Her geography PhD used experimental field research methods to explore how the public engage with climate change through visual art.

"My best bits were painting and learning about the lugworm. I learned a lot from you, as before, I never knew why seaweed had air-pockets, and why sand is black. I really had fun exploring the gallery."
